The Twit Cleaner

This is the most valuable Twitter tool for keeping your tweet stream clean. If you want to de-clutter the rubbish and noise from your social media experience then this product is priceless. Highly recommended and appreciated <3

If you want to use Twitter effectively for building knowledge and relationship networks, it's imperative to spend regular time interacting with the people you follow. However, no matter how carefully you screen those you follow, spammers and scammers are bound to make it into your stream. It can be quite an annoying time suck to get the out. TheTwitCleaner is my new favorite app for pruning my follow list, as it does the job using several great criteria, such as repetitive messages, link spam, inactivity and pushy sales. It's so good, I've not used it on all my active accounts. It's free for most accounts, but good enough that I paid for it on the large ones that I manage. It's that good.

Great service. Takes a little while for the report to arrive, and I ended up choosing to handle the task manually, but so worth it - much more detailed than other services like this I've tried for following cleanup.

I was initially worried this was another dubious link when I saw several of my friends tweeting about TwitCleaner. I was reassured by happy users and by the developer himself - nice personal touch :) The report was clear and easy to use to unfollow inactive or unresponsive accounts. And free. Free! You don't get much for free these days.

I"ve used this program on a continuing basis. The program works as advertised and I've seen an increase in my ranking on various sites (klout, etc.) since using it. Interesting, no? I've used twitter to form relationships with my readers for my national column. Since using the program to clean out the dodgy, I've been able to see the tweets of my peeps much easier!! And it's all good stuff. No more of that "want white teeth" crap filling up my twitter stream!!

Wow, I am impressed. The report generated had real, reasonable statistics to show me who I was getting value from and who I was not. In all fairness it wasn't all spammers, in some cases it was just people with low interaction rates. I was careful about going thru the results generated and I don't feel (much) guilt about unfollowing. And it's smart enough not to simply mass unfollow so you don't set off the twitter scam alarms (at least that's what message says after hitting the button, if I find out something else, I'll come back & edit here). If you are using twitter for more than a couple of months I highly recommend this very simple, effective tool to decrease the noise.

Picking out spammers and robots might be the best function of this app- the dashboard that displays potential people to unfollow should be cleaned (ha!) up, but I think its' currently the best way to manage a large group of followers.

This tool is so much better than the other ones out there that only look at whether or not someone is following you. Out of the 100 that it suggested I unfollow, I only saved about 10, so I would say the service works.

Everything comes full circle. Developer had a security hole that someone decided to exploit instead of point out. This resulted in a tweet being sent out via my account. So that wasn't good, but the aftermath was. The developer Si reached out to me and let me know what was up. So all better. The app needs some UI help, but does some really nice things. Well done, look forward to seeing it grow.

Painless and fast - like flossing your teeth, something you should do regularly.

Excellent service. Helps you clean out the accumulated junk from your following list. You have the final say as to what stays. Easy to use and friendly (I know it's an app, but it's a friendly app) :)

I was one of those people who followed everyone back. I don't mind following a lot of people as long as they are participating in the conversation! And if they are entertainers I don't mind if I don't get a follow back. The Twit Cleaner help me sift through the rest....easily!

This was second or third time I ran TwitCleaner and I'm finally starting to understand all of its nuances. Very sophisticated service, and Si Dawson is a real gentleman!

A ton of detail- great reports. I really like it. I'll be back soon if I find out something went horribly wrong.

I like the categories they analyze against and provide me the facts to make decisions. The only thing I would maybe improve is factoring in my interaction with the accounts they have pulled out. Keep up the good work and start encouraging others to use your pay model.
