Seesmic Look

Wow! Text I can actually read, easy to reply and DM people, nice retweet feature, beautiful interface. What's not to like? Loving the interests sections too!

Congratulations on a job well done with Seesmic Look. I prefer to use Seesmic Desktop over Seesmic for Windows and have used it as the exclusive Twitter interface on my PC's. Being quite satisfied with Desktop, I was prepared not to like Seesmic Look. At first glance, I thought I was seeing an interface as clunky as Windows Media Center. But, having worked with it now, I have to confess that I like the interface very much. I don't have the luxury of making an effort to keep up on Twitter during the day. However, I agree with @branorac and love the way I can just leave Look open on one of my desktop screens and glance over on a whim but I still have the full functionality of Desktop. I am remain hopeful for a slick iPhone App and am anxious to see if you will adopt the Desktop style interface or the Look interface. I just wish I had touch screens on my desk. Again... Very Nice!

Seemic Look offers a sweet UI and a great experience with Twitter. This is a new kind of userinterface that I have seen. Its really awesome to look at, and its easy to use. The minus side of this, is that the UI feels a bit slow when exploring the program or when you are twittering. It also is a bit slow at startup (Make a install program that installs Seesmic Feel). But the biggest thing, is that it needs some more proxy settings, like "Use browsers settings" or username, password and domain when thats needed (Its needed at my school xD). But I want to give the program 4 starts because of the awesome sweet UI!

Pros: Nice GUI. Thank you WPF. Mono account but that should change soon I guess. Few bugs and crashes. Cons: Font too large. Window too large. That does not fit with the intended target users screen resolution. Nobody wants to have a Seesmic window that covers 75% of the screen and nobody has a second display. Too much noise on Twitter content. This is not related to the Look product but mainly to the quantity of tweets that anyone can get per minute by just following 5 or 6 accounts. You have to go very deep into the tweet history. I don't like the way the application is installed. This MS two steps online process when installing APPs is not good. It should be available offline as well. This is my 5 cents...

I like it so far, but would like the option to reduce the size of the font and elements. It's hard to use on a netbook because of the size.

this app is okay.. it was great for searching topics. It just ran down my computer, and the following timeline was bleh. Could use work.

Great twitter app, simple to use and love the channels and interests sections, great. BUT I don't get why people give it less marks for not having multi-accounts etc, when it isn't suppose to!

installed it today but it doesn't accept my twitter login and no timeline shows up, or maybe I can't find the right place to click to bring it up. I clicked on the gear wheel and settings and it says I'm not logged in. All I see is the trends, favorites, etc. list. The dark background is too dark. The volume on the tutorial videos is too low even with all volumes set on high. Consolidating trends, news, etc. is a good thing. I'd use it if it worked.

Seesmic Look is gorgeous... just simply gorgeous... but as a multi-account person, i can't use it daily yet... i'm not happy that i can't edit when retweeting, some folks' tweets just need downsize editing ;>) i miss the "in reply to" that i've become accustomed to following back the tweetversation through people's tweets... pluse, i've got so many conversations going on i need that "in reply to" to remind me what other tweeters are responding to... i'll keep my eye on its progress... but now revertaing back to Seesmic Desktop 3.0 for daily use...

Impressive application...!! Excellent design and all the features you could want... Playback mode is a very fun feature, I let it playin on my big LCD screen while I work on the main monitor and it always shows somethig interesting... Loading background pictures of the profiles is nice too... animations need more work though...!!

It's a very nice concept but could use a little tweaking. I'd like the option for the Timeline view to auto update rather than having to click the "X Tweets" link. Also, it appears to be a little unstable with Windows 7 64 bit. I've had it crash to desktop a couple of times. Otherwise it looks great, I have it running full screen on my second monitor.

The UI for Seesmic Look reminds me of Windows Media Center on my windows 7 notebook. it's prettier than any of the windows clients for twitter that I've used. It's gorgeous on full-screen mode and I haven't run into any glitches yet. This latest client from Seesmic is integrates nicely into the taskbar on Windows 7 so that you can rightclick the Seesmic icon to see some shortcuts like the inbox, trends, searches etc! The application is very helpful about 'explaining' its navigational terminology i.e. hover on "social" and it'll explain in a little message box that "social" means "friends and groups you follow", etc. The part I'm not so happy about: tinyurl.com is the default url shortener. The settings page is very sparse (can't add any custom url shorteners or so I won't be using it so much for twittering, but rather browsing the twitter-verse or twittering sans links. I'll be using Seesmic Look at my default twitter client for a couple of weeks and hopefully, the changes I'd like (bit.ly and twitpic support) will be included.

Refreshingly different, packing a very aesthetically pleasing and intuitive interface. However, missing quite a few of the useful functions of it's predecessors, such as being able to select preferred URL shorteners, having multiple account support, Facebook integration, and minimizing to taskbar. I'll be looking forward to seeing the mentioned features and more added to this revolutionary client which will enable people to see twitter in a new light.

Great app, simple, powerful and well laid out. Only problem I encountered was on my Cliq, which uses red as a default highlight color, making most of the Seesmic hard if not impossible to see. Well, took the phone back and on my next Android phone I'll be on Seesmic for sure!

Love it, Seesmic Look is an awesome app. Only Issues I have had are that It has however frozen on me a couple times while refreshing, and the new tweet count doesn't seams to go away unless you actually click on the title that has the new tweets. If you are already on that stream, and scroll up to see the new tweets, the count doesn't reset. Awesome work Seesmic. Cant wait to see how you incorporate FB and Ping to it.

Hello from Slovakia I use Seesmic Look everiday on second monitor at dual screen in Fullscree mode. Its aweseome. Simple and powerful with excellent design.

Really stylish. A clean interface and easy to use. What more could you ask for? The future will tell. Job well done Loic + Seesmic.
