Was it something I said? We all lose followers from time to time. Then again, we all unfollow from time to time as well. Nevertheless, here are a few apps that will alert you when someone unfollows you.
Ode to Twitter
by @pistachio on 12. Aug, 2010
Let me come clean about my Twitter adoption “arc:”
“The wise student hears of the Twitter & practices it diligently. The average student hears of the Twitter & gives it thought now & again. The foolish student hears of the Twitter and laughs aloud. If there were no laughter, the Twitter would not be what it is. -Lao Tzu (well, sorta)”

How To Deal With Twitter Fatigue
by janet on 27. Jul, 2010
The Business Insider recently re-posted an article written by someone who was reflecting on the freedom she felt a few days after having deleted Twitter (apps) and Tumblr off of her smart phone. With poetic fluidity and refreshing honesty she writes: “I did it for the sake of my own brain and for the sake of the people I pit against the internet every single time I check my phone while in their company. Nothing new here. But it also feels surprisingly good to witness the evolution of thoughts and feelings for the first time in what seems like forever; I had forgotten that thoughts and feelings actually grow more complex if you just stop documenting their earliest iterations.”
Look, everyone needs a break. The writer’s situation is more about removing the temptation to Tweet and blog in-the-moment, on-the-go, about every single thought that comes to her mind and the moment it arrives. That I get. I also think this piece touches on a larger issue, something I’m reading between the lines that a lot of people feel but not many people fess up to: Twitter Fatigue.

#ZyncMTVTJ Contest Uses TweetLevel to Judge Influence
by janet on 13. Jul, 2010
At age 23 I date myself with this opener and ask: Do you remember that Wanna Be a VJ contest on MTV? You know, with that grungy Jesse Camp guy who beat out Dave Holmes for the TRL gig? Well, MTV is at it again, this time searching for Carson 2.0, a social media saavy “Twitter jockey” to move to NYC and work at MTV for $100k, sponsored by American Express’ Zync card.
