FANtastic!Twitter apps for the ultimate sports fan!
Definitely my new favorite thing. You'd expect an excellent graphical user interface from ThingLabs and they deliver. Features an IM-like interface for DM conversations that I find slightly addictive. The user base explains trending topics as they emerge,
Today this app Tweeted on my behalf and without my authorization. I've revoked oauth access and you should probably do the same. According to the developer's blog the app was sold today to new owners. Let's hope the new owners stop abusing the access that the app was granted. I have written to the developer to ask for an explanation.
VERY glad to have oauth in a situation like this to easily and immediately remove a bad actor's access without going through the hassle of changing a zillion passwords.
Good to see more libraries and developer tools getting listed on the site in order to streamline, simplify and open up the process of TwitterAPI development. We hear a lot about the complexity of dealing with OAuth in particular, so its great to see this here. Thanks @abraham!
I know, I know. It's older, it's very simple, it's not updated as much as the fancy new toys, but I still love Twhirl and use it every single day. Multiple accounts, single column simplicity, low resource usage. Old habits die hard. I rely on Twhirl.
UberTwitter was definitely the best app available on the BlackBerry when I still had mine. BUT: check the default location settings. UberTwitter's default invasively shares your exact location in your Twitter profile settings, in tweets, etc. Recommended: reset them before use.
Adding this to our special edition SXSW "Staff Picks" cuz heck -- Too overwhelmed by the array of parties? Can't find your friends? Sick of waiting in another long line at the Pure Volume Ranch? Why not just make your own Instant Tweetup, right?
OK yeah, so they Tweeted me cookies to get my attention. (It worked). So they use some of my favorite catch phrases "in love with Twitter" and "be awesome," and AJ mentioned seeing me tell "Twitter: A Love Story http://blip.tv/file/2268616. Call it bribery, but
I don't care HOW biased I am, I was SUPER impressed by this site. In particular, by how easy the gift was to notice and claim. Tweet. Oauth. Address. Done.
Great work. Can't wait to try the cookies!
I think this is pretty frigging hilarious, but I bet a LOT of people are going to get needlessly huffy over it. Seriously, @huffingtonpost "'Please Rob Me' Site Tells The World When Twitter Users Aren't Home http://bit.ly/dBjulp"?
Really? Yeah, the article is sound, but the headline goes for the shock value.
The truth is that Twitter Users Tell the World When Twitter Users Aren't Home, which is exactly what these guys are pointing out.
My first attempt at screencasting and it took just 3 (unscripted) takes to get exactly what we wanted. Technology worked perfectly. Once I stopped stammering over my words we had it. Thanks Adam & team!! Tour of @oneforty on @screenr: http://screenr.com/jEd
